Get to Know Dr. Nilu Bhadani

For Dr. Bhadani, the best thing about being a dentist is the instant gratification. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Bhadani was inspired to become a dentist after seeing a definitive lack of dental care in her hometown back in India. The patient-to-dentist ratio was very low, and many people missed out on treatment they really needed. This motivated her to pursue dentistry so she could fill the gap and prevent people from experiencing the same problems she saw growing up.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Bhadani received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010 from the Dayananda Sagar College of Dental Sciences in Bangalore, India. She practiced dentistry for about three years before making her way to the US, where she worked as a dental and research assistant in endodontics at the University of North Carolina’s Adam’s School of Dentistry. She eventually earned her DDS degree from the University of Michigan.
To help her stay on top of the latest advancements in the dental field, she is currently a member of the American Dental Association and SPEAR Education.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When she’s not spending time with her husband and young daughter, Dr. Bhadani’s hobbies include biking, interior decorating, and listening to Hindi songs. She also likes to travel and try various cuisines from all over the world.
